I enjoyed this significantly more than I expected to. The delivery is amateurish and frenzied-feeling, but I could get into it. Of the whole article, only the Donald Trump part really had me rolling my eyes.
The logs could've been extended. I find it strange how there's no description of the subjects' mental states or actions after the tests end, only the "newfound purposes". Incidentally, shouldn't the purpose come after the dream?
The ending tale, like the rest of the article, deals in simple concepts but makes out a fairly competent image regardless. It makes sense for an article called The Meaning Machine to get into the meaning of the Authority, come to think of it :P
Removing the A!Co link was absolutely the right call. This article could've used another draft before completion though, because its ideas still feel undercooked. Whatever; it's almost Christmas, and I've been put into a good mood. 4/5
