This volume serves as a restricted record of Monarch Security personnel, prepared on behalf of the UK Civil Service Commission. Entries have been curated for internal reference, archival preservation, and operational review.
All staff are strongly encouraged to adopt an operational alias for use in all official matters. Use of one’s legal name is to be minimized whenever possible. While lower-level personnel may, in limited circumstances, continue to operate under their legal name, all senior staff and individuals engaged in thaumaturgical disciplines are required to employ a designated alias at all times.
Numerous hidden existences possess the ability to exert influence or control over individuals through knowledge of their true names. The careless disclosure of such information may compromise not only your security but also the integrity of your soul. This protocol exists for your protection.

Name: Joseph Jéan Coleridge Department: RCS, Round Table Overview:Sir Joseph Jéan Coleridge is the 28th Grand Sorcerer of the Thaumarch1 and the Royal Congregation of Sorcerers. True to the traditions of his predecessors, he celebrates the art of theatrical showmanship, presenting himself to the public as what he calls a “humbug magician". His path to the Congregation began in 1970, the day after his tenth birthday, when his father was recruited into Monarch Security. That same day, he was introduced to the organisation’s arcane culture by the 27th Grand Sorcerer, Sir Ferris,2 who took him under private tutelage. Under Ferris’s guidance, the young Coleridge quickly set forth exceptional talent and work ethic during his tenure in the New Council of Cavallon. In 1992, Sir Ferris succumbed to the Hanover Curse,3 and entrusted Coleridge with the duty of ensuring his death. Name: ███████ █████ Department: Ministry of Gates and Stations, HMSO Overview:Dr. Sleep Author hails from the Unseelie city of Bontnewydd, Elfame. Born to a family of "dream-eaters", she spent her youth studying the discipline of psycho-oneirology at her local medical school. Her formal training began at the Bontnewydd Collegium of Neurothaumic Sciences, where she specialised in psycho-oneirology. In her thesis: The Liminal States and the Codification of Prefrontal Symbolic Speech, she documented over 400 cross-species dream architectures, including those of sapient fungi and minor spirits. Her studies would help bring oneirology to the limelight of Eccleston University,4 bringing them one step closer to combining the thaumaturgic arts and conventional science. A sleeping mist passively seeps out of the doctor, a side effect of her hereditary neurothaumic condition. While harmless in trace amounts, prolonged exposure induces soporific states in most humans, ranging from light drowsiness to full catatonia. Name: Jules ███ Department: 4th Company, Black Hunters Corp Overview:Officer Forget-me-not was born to a family of Parisian thaumaturgists and members of the Descendants of Yggdrasil.5 However, after an undisclosed incident that caused a rift in his family, he enlisted in the Black Hunters Corp of Monarch Security. To protect himself, he made a pact with an Anthousai,6 exchanging his body for the insurance of his mind. His service as a field hunter ended abruptly when he was afflicted by the Hanover Curse during an engagement with a Bacchanal entity. The affliction corroded his body, turned him into a living host for conscious Myosotis. Although his physiology and mental health exhibited characteristics of inebriation, psychological assessment confirmed that his cognition remained intact and free from clinical psychosis, in spite of his increasingly strange and sporadic behaviour. Following this incident, Forget-me-not moved into the role of Intelligence Officer within the Black Hunters Corp, where he has since repurposed his anomalous condition as an asset, using his Myosotis growths in the gathering and divination of intelligence. Name: ████ ███████ Department: Commission for Thaumaturgy, MI-13 Overview:Originally a student thaumaturgist and intern with the Russian government, Yushatyr’s family immigrated to Norwich, England, in 2018. Her family was of particular interest to Monarch Security due to their heritage, Thaumaturgic art, which involves silversmithing and gilded craftsmanship. Upon her arrival, Yushatyr enrolled at the Cornwall Institute,7 where the Royal Congregation’s Codicesia took particular interest in her work. The Codicesia sought both to preserve her family’s thaumaturgic techniques and to glean insight into the inner workings of the Ministry of Paranormality.8 Despite their inquiries, Yushatyr consistently declined to share sensitive information, citing loyalty to her nation. Her personal interests, however, lay not in archival research but in fieldwork. Fascinated by MI-13’s investigative operations and eager to engage with entities and active thaumaturgists, Yushatyr petitioned to transfer into field service. Name: n/a9 Department: Commission for Thaumaturgy, MI-13 Overview:Resembles a black Maine Coone cat, measuring 9 kg in mass and 40 cm in height. Formerly a court jester and advisor to Duke Leo III of the Grand Duchy of Skai, the agent known as Catsith was spared from execution by MI13 after being put on trial for illegal necromancy. After being inducted into MI-13, Catsith assumed his current moniker, taking his name from a mythological sorcerer said to be responsible for banishing Ulthar's king and much of its population to parts unknown. Presently, Catsith acts as an interrogator and infiltrator. Catsith spends the time preceding a mission studying the religious backgrounds of his opponents, carefully crafting scenarios to intimidate them with. Interestingly, Catsith's lifespan has thus far exceeded that of any known Aílurien, save for that of royalty. Catsith is estimated to be over 120 years old and has yet to succumb to the aging process. Catsith was once an intelligence officer, however, was stripped of this position after it was discovered that he utilised necromancy during Operation Cyclops in 1982. Name: Ferdinan Melion Department: 2nd Company, Black Hunters Corp Overview:Captain Ferdinan Melion began his life as a luthier in his family’s workshop in Budapest, descended from one of Europe’s most respected lines of artisan weaponsmiths. The Melions would serve both the Hungarian parliament and the Occult Networks all across Europe by providing them with special thaumaturgic equipment. Ferdinan’s father, István Melion, was gifted a violin by a close friend, an MI-13 field agent. After the agent’s sudden death the agent’s during a mission, István would change, becoming obsessed with the instrument as it slowly transformed into a Prickling.12 The Prickling would feed on István's grief and guilt, slowly driving István along the irreversible inebriation into becoming a Bacchanal. Ferdinan was forced to kill his own father, and later reported himself to Monoarch Security, who would later put him into the ranks of the Black Hunters. As a cadet, Ferdinan prevented a [WITHHELD] from completing its ritual transformation, an encounter that pushed him to seek out the power of CR0100 and its black blood to surpass his human limits. Under this pact, Ferdinan embarked on multiple sanctioned campaigns against individuals marked by the Curia Arcanum for execution. Name: William Buchanan Department: British Military/Commission for Anomalies Overview:A reformed member of a motorcycle gang, William Buchanan would join the British Armed Forces in the late 80s and eventually serve in several British military conflicts. Throughout his military career, he became infamous for his strict standards and code of honor. This resulted in his eventual court martialing due to insubordination whilst stationed in Iraq in 2003. Whilst en route to England for trial, the coalition forces escorting him were attacked by a militia of Malthus flesh-gestalts. Sir Buchanan would be the only surviving coalition soldier as Monarch Security forces found him driving towards the nearest base in an APC filled with the corpses of his fellow soldiers. This impressive display of tactical prowess and willingness to cooperate resulted in his adoption into the Black Coat’s Military Auxiliaries, upon which he was to continue to be stationed in Iraq to aid against the Anti-Nomian Alliance.13 It was during this occupation that his anomalous and thaumaturgical powers were discovered, as observations found him surviving lethal attacks and firing exotic ammunition from his modified .445 Webley Mk VI revolver. [Ammunition includes AP ammo capable of penetrating T-72 armor, Explosive ammo on par with a 25 Pounder HE shell, ricochet rounds, and even heat seeking bullets] After Operation Dawn Initiative forces were able to subdue Anti-Nomian militias in 2011. Sir Buchanan would become an important coordinator in any Monarch occupation endeavors going forward, as his strict and lawful demeanor meant that he’s always around as a reliable keeper of peace and order.
