CR0100 is confined within St. John’s Gate, under the supervision of the Subjugation Office at North London Station. Its holding cell has been adapted to suit the specimen's nature,1 manifesting as an illusory environment named the “Dark, Endless Field of Rabbits and Foxes.” This habitat provides the specimen with an appropriate setting in which it can be both secured and stimulated.
The specimen is to be provisioned, weekly, with a live mature bovine of any weight and species. In cases where the Black Hunters Corp (BHC) secures a thaumaturgic specimen designated for termination, the subject may be fed to CR0100 as an alternative form of execution.
Interaction with CR0100 necessitates a controlled ritual to ensure personnel safety. Assigned staff are required to enter the dark field and follow the entity’s trail. Within the illusory environment, a rabbit or fox must be apprehended and formally presented as a sacrificial offering. CR0100 will only manifest upon receipt of this offering.
In the event that CR0100 is presented for exhibition or institutional display, strict oversight measures are required. The specimen must at all times be accompanied by:
- Captain of the Black Hunters Corp 2nd Company, responsible for armed containment, emergency intervention, and the enforcement of termination protocols should the specimen display signs of aggression or breach.
- Member of the Thaumarch, responsible for the maintenance of ritual controls, and the safe mediation of any thaumaturgic manifestations.
Both officers are to remain within immediate proximity of CR0100 throughout the duration of its exhibition.
Out of formality, CR0100 is to be referred to as "Madame Boye" or "Lady Device" by Monarch Security staff.

CR0100 is an intelligent, reality-bending thaumaturge with an amorphous body that shifts continuously between canine and humanoid forms. It is most frequently encountered in the guise of a white hunting poodle.
CR0100 exhibits traits of both a biological organism and ectoplasmic apparition. Despite its amorphous nature, the specimen possesses a complete set of fully human internal organs. This human structure remains consistent regardless of its outward transformations.
Evaluations of the specimen's spiritual physiology likewise reveal it to have a human pattern, placing it closer to the class of beings known as Bacchanals4 than a conventional daemon.5 The specimen's stature and spiritual influence are comparable to those of a minor deity. Evidence suggests it possesses cognitive access to the spiritual realm, enabling it to communicate with humans through hallucinations and dreams.
Witnesses consistently describe its presence as terrifying and unnerving, reporting an overwhelming sensation of dread from the specimen's “malevolent aura." Prolonged exposure is observed to induce delusion, hysteria, and paranoia, often accompanied by auditory hallucinations resembling musket fire, battle cries, and distant human screams. It should be noted that, unlike other Bacchanal entities, thaumaturges under Britain’s curseship do not experience the acceleration of the Hanover Curse6 in CR0100’s presence. On the contrary, prolonged exposure has been observed to slow the progression of the curse and, in some cases, reverse it.
After performing CR0100’s ritual, participants are presented with the option of offering their own blood to the specimen. Offering blood causes CR0100 to reciprocate with its own bodily fluids. CR0100 will leap onto the subject’s face and administer the exchange directly, expelling its blood into the subject’s mouth. This “black blood” substance consists of a complex ectoplasmic admixture of blood, gut microbiota, and neural tissue. Ingestion triggers a genetic and physiological transformation, reclassifying the subject into a CR0100-1 variant.
CR0100-1 variants retain their baseline cognitive identity but undergo significant morphological and metabolic alterations. These include:
- Enhanced regenerative capacity and resistance to conventional trauma.
- Heightened predatory drives, with compulsive fixation on both hunting behaviour and blood consumption.
- Subtle restructuring of neural architecture, often leading to behavioural instability and dissociation.
