Containment Protocols: RPC-395-1 is to be contained within a 5m x 5m x 3m cell. No live audio recording is to be conducted by any involved staff members except during approved testing., Communication with the entity should be avoided by all staff (See Incident Log 395).
Should the active RPC-395-1 instance, or the affected RPC-395-2 instance breach containment, MST Echo-21 ("Sleeping Sirens") will be deployed and tasked with apprehension of the entity and relocation to it’s containment room. All staff working at Site-135 are to be given Level-0 Clearance informative documents on handling an RPC-395 breach. A copy of this document is included below (See Addendum A).
TESTING PREREQUISITES FOR CSD PERSONNEL
Testing with RPC-395 are to be conducted with CSD personnel who have undergone thorough medical screening for diseases, congenital health issues, genetic health issues, or psychiatric complications. This screening is to be done by a team of professional diagnosticians, as well as with a heavy focus on safely testing for diseases regarded as difficult to diagnose. Any CSD that might require treatment for a disease of a lethality rate of at least 15% or higher will be unpermitted for use in testing. All subjects must be between the age of 25-29.
After passing the medical screening, the approved subject will be provided with three balanced meals a day with preference-based living conditions. Daily medical checkups are to be administered, and the subject must have a gauged life-expectancy of at least forty years. If the subject in any way is not qualified by the conditions listed above, they are to be considered expired and returned to a standard CSD holding cell. It is advised that tests are administered in such a fashion that an expiration will not occur. All testing proposals must be submitted to Dr. Jared Kane with a reasonable hypothesis to minimize the cost of testing.
Description: RPC-395 is a large group of microscopic organisms of unknown composition. All testing on RPC-395's biological composition resulted in failure due to infected matter rapidly decaying when separated from RPC-395-1. Due to the nature of RPC-395’s anomalous effects, further testing of RPC-395-1 biomass directly is prohibited until further notice. RPC-395 is believed uncapable to exist without an host, and is presumed transferrable only by its anomalous properties.
RPC-395 infects a single host, designated RPC-395-1. RPC-395-1 will behave relatively normal when solitary. RPC-395-1 has not been shown to age, feel pain, require food, or exhibit thought when alone for extended periods of time, baring semblance to a semi-dormant state. RPC-395-1 will remain in this state indefinitely (currently ███ total hours as of present date) until it encounters a living human.
Upon encountering a living human, RPC-395-1 will attempt to communicate. When the encountered subject enters into conversation with RPC-395-1, RPC-395-1 will request that the subject listen to it's "story". If the subject declines or attempts to depart from RPC-395-1, RPC-395-1 will likely to attempt non-violent but socially-effective persuasion until either the subject has accepted or given absolute decline (see Test Log A). If the subject replies with yes, RPC-395-1 will begin to describe the subject’s future in the first person. At this moment, the encountered subject is designated RPC-395-2. In the event of a containment breach, an RPC-395-2 instance will be of containment priority alongside RPC-395-1 if present.
The anomalous effects of RPC-395 on RPC-395-1 become most apparent when RPC-395-1 begins to tell its “story”. When beginning it's story, RPC-395-1 will appear to decay at a rate dependent on the subject’s remaining lifespan. It has been approximated that a life span of 10 years will result in a fifteen-minute story, and every added decade will add a similar approximate amount of time.
In a normal case, RPC-395-1 will begin to tell its story and decay. Should RPC-395-2 interrupt RPC-395-1, it will scream, deafening RPC-395-2, before ceasing to exhibit signs of life (See Test Log B). This scream cannot be heard by observers under any circumstances. At this moment, RPC-395-2 is designated RPC-395-1, and remnants of the former RPC-395-1 entity are to be disposed of by immediate incineration.
Should RPC-395-2 listen to the complete story, RPC-395-1 will end with the phrase, “Good listening”, after which it will decay further into a tar-like substance and appear to drain into the ground or floor. The object appears to act in a non-corporeal nature at this time, and will breach containment via anomalous teleportation as the former RPC-395-1 appearance. Employed methodology to the biomaterial regeneration of RPC-395-1 by RPC-395 remains unknown. RPC-395-1 is to be recontained at that time, and RPC-395-2 is to be redesignated RPC-395-3 and held in a specialized containment cell for further observation until no effects of possible RPC-395-1 spread have been shown. Amnestics are to be applied to the subject, and redesignation to CSD.
It is unknown at this time as to whether or not RPC-395 can infect more than one individual. Precautions are taken to prevent such from happening regardless.
Discovery: RPC-395 was discovered in █████████ Massachusetts, United States on the date of 9/18/20██. During routine Authority surveillance, an RPC-395-1 instance was discovered speaking to an RPC-395-2 instance. When reported, MST Alpha-3 ("Scavengers") was dispatched with MST Echo-21 ("Sleeping Sirens") to investigate and contain the anomaly. Few witnesses were present, all of which were interrogated with no significant information and subsequently amnesticized.

Foreword: We're looking for any potential weaknesses in the anomalous function of RPC-395. If Dr. Kane's inclination was right, and I'm sure it was, we'll find that out today.

<CSD-2537 looks towards the window, which is one-sided, and proceeds to give a confused expression. Tallahassee, against protocol, turned on the intercom system.>
Dr. Tallahassee: CSD-2537, you only need to decline listening to the story. Other questions do not trigger the anomalous effects of RPC-395.
<CSD-2537 grunts. It should be noted that RPC-395-1 did not respond to Tallahassee's speech on the intercom.>
CSD-2537: I'm sure. I do not want to hear your story.
RPC-395-1: It will be the most interesting story you have ever heard, ██████.
CSD-2537: Hang on, who told you my name? Did one of them say it?
RPC-395-1 <With Laughter>: No, it's part of the story! You gotta hear it, ██████, man. Come on!
CSD-2537: Absolutely not. Tarot cards from that creep from 20██ was uncomfortable enough. I don't need to hear my future from something like you.
RPC-395-1: If you insist.
<RPC-395-1 become silent, drifting into it's semi-dormant state. After five minutes of silence, the test is ended and CSD-2537 is monitors for three days subsequently.>

Conclusion: For whichever one of you reviews this log, I'm quite aware I broke protocol. I am convinced that reasonably-preventing an accidental containment breach while simultaneously keeping the test focused on the theory in question was of higher priority. It appears that RPC-395-1 is capable of a semblance of sapience, but I would not regard that to be wholly sapient. It was completely unable to register my voice, or perhaps just ignored it. Another important detail to point out is that CSD-2537 appeared to be genuinely disinterested in knowing the future. Fortunately, the information regarding his past with "divinatory magick" was included in his history.
On another note, RPC-395-1 was also capable of going into it's dormant state with a human present. It seems it bares some notion of manners, which doesn't make sense for a what appears to be pathogenic. Are we sure this isn't linked to something else?

Test Subject: CSD-2915
Foreword: Subject was given a paper with instructions while video was recorded to a secure SSD locked away in the safe of Research Room ███. Another CSD after this test was instructed to watch the recording which showed no anomalous effects occurring from watching the video post-incident.

<At this moment, RPC-395-1 begins to show signs of cellular necrosis across it's body. It is likely that RPC-395-1 may lack the capacity for reason, given the blatant usage of the paper by CSD-2915 to answer RPC-395-1's questions.>
RPC-395-1: I leave the containment room, sitting back and thinking to myself of ██████, the woman I love. I imagine her touch once more, and mourn silently for her. I wish that I was not in this wretched place, but I continue anyway.
<CSD-2915 gives an expression of confusion, but offers no remarks.
RPC-395-1: Above all, it is [REDACTED] that I wish to see again, but I—
<CSD-2915 shows an irate expression. It appears to be a natural emotional response to the mention of his [REDACTED].>
CSD-2915: Is this some kind of cruel joke?! How do you know about ██████?!
<RPC-395-1 screams after CSD-2915’s interruption before collapsing onto the floor. RPC-395-1’s scream could not be heard on video when reviewed; however, it was measured by the device to be approximately ███ decibels. Research is ongoing to explain this phenomena.>
CSD-2915: I can't. Hear. I…I…
<CSD-2915 groans, before becoming agitated. Within █ minutes, CSD-2915 becomes suddenly docile, sitting quietly. Research personnel enter containment area for husk disposal. Due to lack of information at the time of testing, research personnel was not equipped with the appropriate auditory-suppression equipment. This resulted in Researcher Tallahassee being engaged by CSD-2915. At this moment, CSD-2915 exhibited behavior identical to RPC-395-1. Researcher Tallahassee replied sarcastically to the request. CSD-2915 then breached containment.>

Conclusion: It appears that RPC-395-1’s anomalous effects are triggered strictly by denotative meaning, as it appeared to have misinterpreted Researcher Tallahassee’s Sarcasm. This behavior from RPC-395's host was unexpected. I am removing Researcher Tallahassee from testing clearance to monitor his health for further understanding of RPC-395-1’s reliability concerning its alleged capability to accurately-predict the future as it appears to be doing. I also believe we should be more careful in the retrieval of the former host body. I believe MST Echo-21 will be most adequate for this task.

Kane: Unlike you, I actually paid attention to the research we've worked fervently on with this anomaly. MST Echo-21 must be alerted, now leave my sight!

19:12:01 - RPC-395-1 is located and reported. One casualty is recorded.
19:19:23 - MST Echo-21 detains and returns RPC-395-1 to it’s cell, now in the appearance of Researcher █████████ Francis, now RPC-395-1.

Note: Tallahassee's conduct was absolutely inexcusable. I will be reassigning him to RPC-███ as an analyst until further notice as begin aforementioned health monitoring. I will attempt to consult colleagues for theories on recovering RPC-395-1, but it is unlikely that RPC-395 will be willing to "comply".

In the event of an RPC-395-1 or RPC-395-2 breach, all staff must seek to avoid communication with both RPC-395-1 and RPC-395-2.
If communication is unavoidable, RPC-395-1 will ask a question. You must answer with no and immediately attempt to vacate the area.
Be sure to assert yourself and stray from sarcastic remarks, as even a vain notion of agreement will result in the lethal anomalous effects of RPC-395-1 triggering.
If you see RPC-395-1 in the event of a containment breach, make your way to a safe area and report the sighting immediately to the closest armed personnel.
Due to the results of the experiment performed by Researcher Edward Lockhart on the date of ██/██/██, any and all attempts to utilize RPC-395's anomalous capabilities to predict future events regarding the status of the RPC Authority, or it’s members, is strictly prohibited and subject to penalty up to and including demotion to CSD.
Both Researcher Edward Lockhart and Researcher ██████ Tallahassee have received infractions as a result of these behaviors on penalty record of six months. Researcher ████████ ██████ and Researcher ██████ ████████ have been assigned to RPC-395 in their place.

Researcher Tallahassee died of a heart attack approximately three months after the incident on 09/30/20██. Checkups showed various minor respiratory issues from smoking that may have influenced Researcher Tallahassee’s death. RPC-395 appears to be accurately-knowledgeable about the future of an individual, but to establish proper understanding will require further testing. I have thoroughly-outlined procedures for preventing another containment breach by RPC-395 in further testing, but I believe we have a somewhat reliable containment protocol for this anomaly after these events. Furthermore, I wish to send my condolences to the friends and family of Researcher Tallahassee. His occasional recklessness has offered valuable information, despite the consequences thereafter.
