You've got a lot of run-on sentences, and the transition between the opening narration and the actual story is a little rough. I'm also not 100% sold on your font choice- I'd find a classical printer's font designed more for text body, what you've got right now is better as a title font.

Also, drop the caption on the image, what it represents is obvious from the context of the story.

Main issue of the start, the font you use is shit, sorry to be blunt but its true, its hard to look at or read, and it just looks bad tbh

With the font you use, that poor "k" on "makes" looks like an "f"

I think the tale is ok, a 3-4 star entry, it was cool I guess but maybe not my mind of stuff, but again, get rid of that font.

In regards to the story itself, I think it could be longer or more fleshed out, and on the other hand, did the Authority just not collect or had any anomalous or """magical""" items at their hand during this raid? idk, just seems kinda odd
